Hi Everyone

 

Just an update on how I am. Surgery went very well apparently, unfortunately tho, the night after the op, I had a mild stroke, so have had to learn to use my left arm and leg again, been pretty shit all in all and the pain from my chest gets me down a lot when I cant sleep but considering what I have been thru, im in pretty good shape. Have been coming online now and again cos typing is good exercise for my hand, but thought I would do a journal for now instead  of noting everyone cos i get real tired really quickly, even having a shower wipes me out and I have to have a sleep after it. Anyway, thank you so very much to all of you who have rang, texted, sent cards n gifts n stuff and those of you who have been asking after me, as soon as i am feeling up to it, i will send you all notes and have a proper catch up.

Just to let you all know, im at home at the moment. Got all the way to Liverpool to book in at 11am and got a call just as we were pulling into the car park to say that there had been 2 emergencies brought in overnight, so all the surgeries for the week have been put back a day. I was devastated cos i didnt sleep last night and had psyched myself up for going in, and now have to go through it all again tomorrow, but anyway, the surgery is expected for the same time (8.30am) on Thursday, so for those people that Sam was contacting, it will be on Thursday now. Thank you so much for all of you who text me this morning, with all your good luck and best wishes, will keep those for tomorrow.

Wont be around for a while, go into hospital on Tuesday and have my surgery on Wednesday. Will be in hospital for 4-6 days then home, and off work for approx 10 weeks. Hopefully I can contact some of you via text or whatever when im still in the hospital, depends on how things are, but will be able to call when I get home. My Sam has kindly said i can use her laptop when she is at school so can sit on the sofa and go online, which is better than sitting at the table in the dining room. Anyway, Sam will be updating how I am, and her name on here is frankierosbadgirl. Hopefully chat to you all really soon, and for those of you who have been a massive support to me over these last few months, you are amazing and you have no idea just how much I appreciate all the moral help you have given me and I love you so much.

Hi all

Well for those of you I havent spoken to, I had an appointment with my surgeon on Wednesday who has told me that my operation has been scheduled for the 12th March, I have to have a triple bypass, which is mega scary, however because i'm diabetic, everything hinges on my blood sugar levels which are too high at the moment, and if I don't get them down, he won't operate on that date, he says its too dangerous, so i'm trying really hard to get them down. Some good news tho, he moved the date back so I could get to see The Killers on the 10th, then go into hospital on the 11th, how awesome is he :) Anyway, enough doom and gloom, just thought I would let you all know what is happening.

Sorry I havent been around much but I have a lot to get organised cos i'm going to be off work 6-8 weeks and have to sort my finances and get stuff done.

Will keep in touch with you all, and thanks to those of you who have been in constant touch and for all your good luck wishes and offers of help, love you loads.

Just to say that I have had to send my desktop box to be stripped so wont be back on here til next week. Having to send this from work and tring not to let my boss catch me. Also I got 2 appointments at Broadgreen Hospital in Liverpool next week too, this is the heart hossie, got the one with the surgeon on Wednesday, and have been told that I may be offered a date for my op, scary shit, it makes it all a bit real!! Oh well, sooner done sooner back gigging :)

Hi guys, just want to put you onto an amazing band, first saw them support You Me At Six in Manchester and have now seen them quite a few times, and they are SO awesome. They are Attack! Attack! from South Wales. Mon & Debs came to see them with us a short while ago and were blown away, Tina also saw them in Tenby supporting Funeral For A Friend and after me bigging them up to her, she loved them. BEST VIDEO FOR A BEAUTIFUL LIE and ROCK OUT AWARDS :)

30 Seconds To Mars did it yet again at the MTV EMA awards last night, it was so amazing!! Thank you so much to the guys for taking time to get out of the car and come over to see us before they went in, it meant so much to us. This band never fail to show their appreciation to their fans, always putting themselves out and when they win an award, they always thank the fans in their speeches, they deserve EVERY award they get. And sorry to the Raven Bar on the Albert Dock in Liverpool, there was only 17 of us watching it live in there but I think we made enough noise for 100 lol. Amazing to be with so many Echelon yet again, can't wait for the 2009 tour.

Ok then, again for the KIGH uninitiated, they are, left to right:

Iain Mahanty (guitar), Joel Fisher (guitar), Aled Phillips (vocals), Andrew Shay (bass) and Philip Jenkins (drums).

Day 2
Got up at 6am after maybe 4 hours sleep, and with a very painful nose, and we left at 7.30, drove to Leeds with a few wrong turns, and got there at 9.15, 1st there again!! so queued up, well started the queue anyway, was there maybe an hour and a half before the next person arrived. Went into Leeds to meet Ali (Wilson), some of you have her as a friend too on here, she was so lovely, and her mum, went for a coffee then back to the venue. The guys had been out and about, I stayed in the queue while Sam, Tizzy & Amy went round the back and Sam was talking to Shay and he asked how I was today awww he is very sweet :) Anyway had a good day and at 7pm they let us in, guess what, barrier again right in the middle!! well when I say barrier, there wasn't one, just stage and speakers, so right at their feet!!! Save Your Breath came on and they are so good, Tom said who was the first here then this morning and he looked at me, so me and Sam put our hands up, so he said, "You wont believe this but this lady broke her nose on the barrier last night and she has actually driven here this morning to be here tonight" and got the whole place to clap, I was mortified, and even Ben came over and bent down and ruffled my hair !!!, I was so embarrassed. Their set was awesome, and then This City came on, yet again awesome, then Kids, they so kicked ass, Joel came on and looked down and smiled and said hi, which was so nice. It was weird cos they were real high up so even tho they were literally inches away, we had to look right up to see them :) it was just an amazing gig and at one point Shay went to get a bottle of water and walked to the edge of the stage, opened it and passed it down to me, that was so sweet of him :), and Stan (their manager) gave me a set list which was awesome so I gave it to Sam. Anyway when we got outside and went round the back, Iain was out and Sam asked him to sign her Welsh flag, and he asked me if I was the lady who hurt herself so I said yes and he said he couldn't believe I was actually there, and he walked up to me and said, i so need to give you a hug for doing that,  how nice was that!! anyway Ben, the guy who ruffled my hair came over to chat to me, then Tom, and then 2 of the other SYB band members, and that was that, we all chatted for 2 hours!!! oh yes in the meantime, Sam got Phil to sign the flag, and Joel came over to say hi, and then I asked Ben if he could find out if Aled was coming out so he could do the flag too, awww he went and got him, which was so lovely of him, anyway Aled was awesome and was like, omg I only found out today that you got hurt, are you ok and stuff, and he was so lovely with Sam, had his pic done, and with me, grrr I so hate my pix but he was lovely, then he went and we carried on chatting to SYB and various people stopped by, it was just amazing and we took some pretty silly pix but that's how the evening went!!!, surreal but amazing, and the SYB guys and Chris from This City are some of the nicest guys in the world, Ben kept telling me how awesome it was doing what I did with Sam n stuff, well a couple of times I was like, ok you should go join the other bands in the club, and Tom was like, nah, its better here lol. Anyway at 1am we finally did call it a night and got hugs off everyone and such, and we went back to the car so hyper, and got home at 3am. We were both up just too early this morning and I went on myspace and added the guys, and they came back with a message saying, "Legend, simple as", thought that was awesome, anyway, both SYB and This City's myspace addresses are on my 1st journo, so if you get chance, please check them out, oh and if you havent yet heard KIGH, (maybe you live under a rock lmao!) go listen to them www.myspace.com/kidsinglasshouses, they are sooooo amazing. so that is that as they say, nothing broken, thank god, the towel is now a souvenir, it has my blood on it, Shay's sweat, and my tears when the pain kicked in, hence the title. Having a few days rest from gigging and then Wednesday starts it all again, Funeral For A Friend in Preston, then You Me At Six in Manchester on Thursday and again in Liverpool on Friday, no rest for the wicked then, I love my life tho and wouldnt have it any other way. Hope you didnt get bored half way and lose the will to live.

Btw a shout out to Oli, KIGH merch guy, Sam got a tee and it was too small and he opened up the merch trailer cos everything had been packed away and rooted through for a bigger one for her, he really didnt need to have done that , and he gave me a hug, so thanx hun, you are amazing xx

Well Friday morning dawned very early, up at 6am, ready and left about 7.45, got to the Manchester Academy for about 9ish and were the first there, had an amazing day like always, then we got in at 7.30, got to barrier first with Sam, right in front of  where Aled is so could see everyone. 1st band Save Your Breath came on and they were awesome, worth checking out at www.myspace.com/saveyourbreathband and Aled came on for the last song of their set, then This City (www.myspace.com/thiscitymusic) came on, they were awesome too especially Chris the singer. Anyway KIGH came of and it was just mental, there was a crowd of guys about 10 rows back who thought irt was a good idea just to keep pushing forward as much as they could and very often, just idiots, but Kids were just awesome as always, just going wild all the way thru but there was loads of people being dragged out over our heads, just as Easy Tiger came on (last but one song) there was about 10 people dragged over us in the space of 2 minutes, thing was, i had my head down and my hands on my head to stop being kicked, unfortuantely the sec guy dropped the last person on my head and I smashed my face on the barrier!! I saw a few stars lol, and looked at Sam, then the blood started and didnt stop, got the sec guys attention...eventually... and he just said do you want to come out and i was like, NOOO just get me something to wipe the blood away, anyway he just shrugged his shoulders and stood there, so really helpful then!!!, anyway Sam was panicking a bit and Easy Tiger had just finished and I was bleeding shitloads by this point, so Sam started shouting Aled but he was walking away so she was screaming for Shay (bassist, very cute btw :) and he turned around and took one look at me and ran over to the amp and got his towel and came back & passed it to me, then the last song started, Give Me What I want so I just shoved the towel on my face and sang away lol. Anyway the end of the gig came and we finally came away from the barrier, thats the only downside of barrier, you cant move away til everyone else has :( anyway we went downstairs and saw a medical guy who checked me out and said luckily it wasnt broken, would have had a fit cos the last thing I needed was to have to go to hospital, anyway went to the bar to get some ice and was walking around with a towel full of blood and an icepack!! well we saw Philip (drummer) and he was like OMG what the hell happened, anyway I told him and then said, but we will be in Leeds tomorrow, and he was just amazed and couldnt believe we would still be going. well we finally went outside and got talking to the Save Your Breath guys who were so lovely and couldnt believe we were still going to go to Leeds either :) we went round the back for a bit and Shay and Joel came out and they were so lovely and really concerned and they signed Sam's Welsh flag and I asked if Aled, Phil and Iain were coming out and they said it could be a while so I said well we will go then cos we have to be up to drive to Leeds, and Joel was like, omg you are coming to tomorrows gig after what has happened and Im like, yes, why not, and he said i was insane and laughed. Anyway we drove home and got to bed at 1.30 am
Great night except for the mishap, and met some amazing people, fans and bands alike :) Will do a part 2 of Saturday cos it was just amazing!!!!

Havent been around much but I have had loads on, work has been really hectic and cos I have to take it easy, it's been piling up, but i'm getting thru it. And i've been slowly catching up on all my house stuff, and had school things with Sam, so busy busy. I have to go to my best friends boyfriends 40th fancy dress party tomorrow night so its been a nightmare sorting clothes n such out for me n Sam, but hopefully after the weekend (cos im working all weekend)I can get myself organised and get some notes out to you all. Well in between packing and stuff for my B
irmingham Buzznutters Bash trip, can't wait!!!. Anyway it was just a quickie to let you know that i'm not being ignorant, just really really busy,

Shannon has nothing to do with this, just thought his pic would brighten a sort of depressing journal lmao!!

Anyway, as some of you know, I've been really poorly the last 4 or 5 days, well longer than that really, have been breathless and had chest pains for about a week & a half. Went for an ECG last Friday to check my heart and they said it looked ok so I trotted off to work, anyway about 2.30 ish that afternoon, I had a bad time, pains, couldn't lift my arms, couldn't breathe, pain in my head, jaw, everywhere and very cold, but after about 30 mins, it passed, I was worried but carried on. Went to the A&E after work and they did bp checks etc said I was ok and there would be a 4-5 hour wait to be seen so I didn't stay cos I needed to be home and cause they said it was ok I went. Well got up at 5.30 the next morning and went to the shop to work, but felt really ropey, pains all day, so after I finished at 1, I went to the hospital again, they checked me and told me to sit down and they would call me, well they did....4HOURS later!!!, then I got called thru and they did some checks and then all hell broke loose, they said it looked like I'd had an angina attack, so they made me stay in, and had to stay in till last night ( tuesday) and they have now told me that I have had a mild heart attack!!! I am diabetic and there is heart problems in my family and I dont look after myself properly, diet wise and only taking my tabs when I remember, so it was inevitable I suppose. Anyway on a brighter note, if I follow a proper diet and excersise and not go mental, there is no reason for me to stop what I do, still do my gigs, maybe not quite so many, but still go and do my trips, and hopefully be thinner and more healthy into the bargain. Has been a major wakeup call for me to take more care. anyway that was really depressing so I will go away now :)

........well while I was being distracted by the lovely Shannon, apparently, Slipnot, Gallows and Metallica turned up, oh and before 30 arrived, A7X turned up, then it went a bit mental, their fans wouldn't shut up, even after they had gone in so Zacky came out briefly, maybe hoping the fans would quieten down but they didn't, well not for a while, anyway once everyone was in, it went a bit quiet and loads of people went. We werent going anywhere tho, and then we got word that 30 had won the first Kerrang for From Yesteday, so it was wild for a bit, then heard Slaves To Gravity? had won Newcomer so a bit gutted cos wanted Go Audio, then they told us the guys had won a second one for Int Group, so major celebrating outside, couldnt wipe the smile off my face. Then they all started coming out, BMTH staggered out 1st, wasted!!, a few of the young bands were, then 30 came out, and Shannon came straight over to our side with the biggest grin on his face, and just went down the line hugging everyone, he was just so made up (so another hug then heehee) and Jared was smiling so much and saying thank you to all the fans and it was a bit mad, didnt see much of Tomo cos he was the other side, saw him a bit tho, awesome red boots, oh and Viki Jared had your trainers on, but really dirty, think its time he had new ones :) and Shans were silver, so him tho, he loves wild trainers. Anyway they left and loads came out at once, but as far as I can remember, 30 were the only people who brought the awards out to their fans!!! The Rev and Syn came out, absolutely wasted, they were just all over the place, and dodging traffic!!!, then YMAS were out, and we shouted to Josh and he came straight over, he was so sweet, and chatted with me n Sam for ages, and Max n Matt, they were all a bit gone but sooo funny, and Rory (Enter Shikari) was chatting for a good while with us, with his girlfriend? they were both lovely, Josh from Go Audio cam to see us and was so off his head, was all over me n Sam, omg he was so funny, chatting , well slurring lol about the Manchester gig, mental!!, we waited for FFAF but only saw Darran leave, well stagger off haha, maybe they came out while we were chatting. Jon (30 manger (tour?) came over to chat, said that Shan's Animal was awesome aww, and we had pics n a chat, said maybe once the guys had finished the album, they may do a US tour and UK/European all together without a break so I told him that wasnt an option cos i needed to save in the meantime for the second one :) but a lovely guy, had met him in Helsinki, AND he said that the wild pic we had done in Helsinki after the gig with the guys will be going into the yearbook YAY!!! glad i've ordered mine then. Anyway, it was just the most amazing night, surprisingly it may have surpassed Birmingham !!!, and as tired as we were, it was worth every second. Ive prob left loads of stuff out but this is what i remember. Sorry its been so long, well you all knowhow i get carried away. So once again Shannon has excelled himself, and his pedestal is now so high, it would take him to do something horrendous for that to drop any, he really is my hero now, thank you guys for an amazing night, and the YMAS lads etc especially Josh for making my Sams year, she really adores you.. Hope ive not bored you all to death :) xxxxx

Well this may come out all jumbled beacuse it all happened so fast, haven't quite caught up with myself!!! Anyway it all started when i was on msn with a friend and while I was on she said a bulletin had come in from 30stm to say that they were going to fly over and attend the Kerrang! Awards, sort of as a thank you for all of us voting so much, they were nominated for 4 categories, so she said she was going to go, and i'm like oh well have an awesome time, all the while gutted cos I wanted to go, anyway I got to work the next day and was explaining to my colleagues and they were amazed that I was even thinking of NOT going lol, but i was bothered about hols from work, anyway everyone was going to make out to the boss that the hols had been booked for ages, so I called Sam who screamed a lot and think forgot to breathe!!! Well Thursday morning came and we left at 8, and drove to London, by this time we hadnt told anyone we were going, so as to surprise my 2 friends who I had told I wasn't going :) anyway got there, and found The Brewery. There were a few people already there, some Italian Echelon, Karen from BN and some Echelon we had met in Jan/Feb, loads of Eliot Minor fans etc, anyway first to arrive was Scott Ian from Anthrax who we guessed was presenting again, then We are the Ocean, then Alex Zane, omg he is stunning!!!, he was presenting for 4Music with Christina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil), then the bands turned up now and again, eventually the police bloked the road off and the Kerrang photographers and camera crew were busy doing their thing with the people waiting....... before I carry on, I must explain the Animal, for those of us who know and love the Shanman, he is called the Shannimal because of his likeness when drumming to Animal off the Muppet Show, and he loves it, and I have an Animal toy which I bought for Shan to sign when we went to the States next year, and take with us like a sort of gig mascot, but cos this had come up, thought I would take with me......load smore bands turned up, Trivium, You Me At Six, FFAF, KIGH, and somecame over to chat n stuff, well after what felt like forever, 30 arrived and we went wild, I started videoing them with my fone, and when Shan got out of the car, he came straight over cos i was waving Animal about like a mad thing, anyway before he got to me, Jared grabbed him and turned him roud cos some mag person wanted to video them, then Jared turned back and saw Animal and started patting Shannon on the back saying "Hey Shannon, look its Animal" and pointing at me, so Shan came over and smiled, took Animal and put his arms out for a hug which everyone behind took to mean they were included grrr, anyway it meant that i got to put my arms round him under his jacket which was awesome, anyway he went off along the line and Sam was shouting him loads, and then he came back and she said to him ' the Animal was for you to sign for my mum,' which he did and then looked at her and said ' oh you want it back then' and looked really fed up, and gave it me back, omg just looking at his face, there was no way I could not have given it him back, so I just tucked it inside his jacket, put my hand on the side of his face and said 'you have so got to keep this', and he smiled at me and said ' I can have it?', (his beard is so soft btw, just thought I would tell you this :) and off he went down the line, as he went along, someone reached out for Animal and I watched him step back and push it further under his jacket and say, 'No this is mine!!', so awesome................ to be continued

Got a txt off her earlier to say her computer has died a death, so until she can get a new one, she will be away from the internet, if you have any messages for her, please send them via me cos I will be seeing her on Thursday, cant wait, first time I will have met her and im so excited :)

Helsinki....2nd June 2008      (Be aware this will be long lol)

Well we set off from home at 7.30 am and got the train to Liverpool, then got the London train from Lime Street, was delayed on the way so got into London at 1pm, walked to Victoria Bus Station and got the transfer coach we had booked to Stansted Airport, but the traffic was so bad it took longer to get out the city, anyway got to the airport and had some tea (dinner) and then went thru to departures, took forever cos all our luggage was checked. Flight was on time and arrived at Tampere at 10.30 pm (2 hours ahead in Finland) got on the transfer bus and it was 2 ish hours to Helsinki. Got off the bus and asked the bus driver how we get to the Old Icehall Arena so he said get the train, any train and get off after 1 stop, so we did, got off and asked directions, was told to go to the end of the platform and follow signs, which we did, til it was like a dirt track, and then a dark tunnel, by this time i was pretty scared so was Sam, and when we got there it was deserted, so I called Sonia who told me i had been directed to the new Arena, and it was the wrong one, well to cut a long story short we walked for an hour back and round the area looking for a taxi, ended up at a big hotel who got us one, and we got to the arena, I was cold, crying like a lunatic and very tired ( i had only had half an hours sleep the night before..too hyper) anyway Hilda, Jen, Nina and Sonia were already there, Jen and Son had been there for 2 days!!  we got blankets and had a couple of hours sleep. Had a great day, all got dressed up in rave stuff, bright jeans, Hilda had made us tees in bright pink with " Deadly Fangirl Assassination Squad.. Here To Assist You" on the front and " Dial 6277 for Assistance" on the back, and we all had red sweatshirts with our names on the front and a line from Buddha For Mary, and on the back " Live...Die...Bleed... Motherfucking Fantasy" on the back, for those who have been to a 30 gig, Jared always says that before doing The Fantasy so it was awesome, anyway they let us in at 7 but so badly organised that us at the front actually got in after those who came later, so werent barrier although a few passed out in front of me n Sam so we did eventually get barrier in front of Tim. Anyway, they played the best gig I have ever been to, I thought Birmingham was awesome but this was better, they had the time of their lives, Jared was in amazing form and Tim & Tomo rocked harder than ever, and as for my Shanman, well Ive never seen him play as hard, he stood up loads cos he was playing so hard, Sam videoed Battle Of One and he stands twice in that!!, anyway they went off and J did his acoustic bit, and got a young guy up on stage, it was so awesome, and then the guys came back ondid some more and went off again, then came back on!!!, they did an houir and a half altogether, just freaking amazing. Well we came out and got a drink and was going to leave, then found out that if our tickets were signed we were on for a signing!!!, omg all our tickets had been signed on the way in, amazing!!!, so we went in for the signing, the manager said he wanted to photograph all of us in warpaint and rave gear so would we stay behind!!! well we went to see the guys and Shannon loved the pink tees and the sweatshirts, and the guys signed our flag and Jared signed my tee cos he had done all the others so just did mine!! and I got a hug from Shan :), and we went over to wait, when all the others had gone, there was about 30 of us and we all got in a group and the guys came over, Shan apparently danced in front of us ( i missed it cos i was sorting the flag) and then showed off his new turquoise boots, he is so random :), and then after the pic, Tomo came over and said we should all look like we have just had the best time of our lives so i said " but we just have" so he smiled and said well just go wild, so we had a wild pic done too by Jon ( the manager), the guys chatted for a minute then left, Tomo had his hand heavily bandaged and i asked him what he had done and he said, "something disgusting...it was a biological experiment which went horribly wrong " lol, apparently he had hurt it playing :( anyway we left and waited round the back for a while cos that was were my hostel was and after a bit the guys came out in the car and had the windows down and waved as they left, perfect end to a perfect night, prob missed loads out but so much happened, it was just crazy. The 20 hours journey there and 24 hours back was worth every second, they really pulled out all the stops for their last European gig for the present, cant wait for the next tour!!!. The next day we all went to the funfair ( the guys had been there on the Sunday) and had an amazing day, then we came back to get our luggage and left Helsinki (very sad at leaving the girls) at 7.30 pm and we got hoome at 5.30pm the following evening, so a long long journey, but what an amazing experience, thank you guys, you are just incredible xxxxxxx

London GIAN....11th May 2008

Well we got up at 11pm and got ready, left at 3am and the car started playing up, kept cutting out and stuff, anyway managed to make the journey to London, lots of probs on the way and what should have taken us 4 hours took us 6, but whatever, we still got there, and when we got to Earls Court, we asked the sec guy where the car park was and he directed us to the back of the arena, some random car park which wanted £32 for 24 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, anyway we managed to park on the road for free until 9am the next morning. Well we walked back to the arena and spotted Viki, well not hard really as her hair was bright pink!!!, looked awesome tho. Then got in line, met up with the Italian girls and some other echelon we knew, then after a while decided not to wait in line so wandered off, met up with Hilda, Jenny, Nina, Therese, Sonia and Debora. They went off shopping and we went for lunch. Ended up going into the arena about 2.30, met up with Sam (Samir) and I sat on the floor making our flag. The girls went to watch Envy on The Coast. Me n Sam went to watch YM@S, they are so awesome and cant wait to see them next month. Well about 7 we went to get in the crowd, and got to 4 rows from the front but Glassjaw came on and it went mental, managed to last thru that, and Billy Talent came on, well the crowd, went just insane, struggled to keep my feet and was trying to hang onto Sam to keep her upright, in the end it was just too crazy, and we couldnt see anything anyway so we got out, then Sam realised she had lost her phone so stupidly i went back in, BIG MISTAKE!!, i got to near where i was and the crowd went to the right and i lost my footing and went down, got kicked in the head, so so scary, anyway the guys around got me up and i found my was to where we had been and everyone around amazingly made room so i could look for the fone, no chance tho, there was a lot of fones stolen that day, scumbags whoever did it, anyway managed to get out again but was a real mess. However we were all sorted by the time the guys came on, we stood at the side and the big screens were above us the camera was placed just below Shannon so the camera shots were awesome, specially cos he wore his kilt again and no shirt again!!! lmao, anyway it was a great gig, different to headlining ones cos they are a mixed crowd but amazing all the same. Anyway we left after the set and walked round the back and waited with Hilde etc, and there were a lot of fans waiting already, after a while the sec guys made us all leave, think the guys were gonna come out then decided not to!!! Well we sat for ages, and then a car pulled up and Shan got out and the crowd on the other side of the road just swamped him and blocked the road so he left after a couple of minutes, car nearly drove off without him lol. We waited for another hour but J & Tomo never came out, was really surprised cos it was the last gig in the UK so thought he may have done. Well we finally got to the hotel at 2am i think and I slept til 5, then later got ready, went n put money in the parking meter and went back to the hotel, me Sam & Viki went for breakfast then Viki went home :(, met Hilda etc and went to Camden, wandered around shopping then went for lunch, the girls were discussing Helsinki, and i felt so sad cos we werent going, then in a moment of madness I decided we were going to go, it was like whf, im a long time dead, the girls were going wild cos we were going, so another good (tiring) but good weekend :)..........Helsinki next !!! :) 

          


Edinburgh...9th May 2008

Well we set off with the car all loaded up and the glyphs on the car doors (they looked awesome!!!) at 11.15pm on the 8th, and after a very dark and very uneventful journey, we arrived at the Corn Exchange Theatre at 3 am. There were a few people already camped out, a lot had been to Asda and bought duvets and pillows the day before, it was a good thing too cos it was fairly cold and very damp. Well Jenny (Irish) had arrived the day before as had Sonia (that was a lovely surprise) and Elise, Emma, Trina and Sam were already there as was Karen and Katja, good thing that we always save places wherever we go for our group, me and Sam already had queue numbers so we just camped out at the front in our little space lol. During the day, more people turned up like the Italian Echelon girls, Konsu, Alis etc, it was so awesome to see everyone, and we also found 7amandapanda7, and Jenn & Nat (Russian Echelon) came, I went to get a knife from the bowling alley cos I had taken a cake for Trina as it was her birthday, and it was so mad :) In the afternoon me n Sonia went round the back to the bowling alley and then decided to wander over to the buses, well we got chatting to the security cos Sonia had something for the guys who were supporting, and as we were chatting, Shannon & Jared turned up and waved as they went in, well I had made Echelon bracelets for 15 of us girls, and I had made the same for the guys cos they wear that type of thing, and I had taken them with me, so after a short while, Shannon came out and was chatting n taking pics n stuff and when he got to us I gave him the bag with the bracelets in and had a pic done, wow that just made my day, he went in not long after cos everyone had started to come round and he would have been there all day. Well the day passed fairly quickly and Claire (clara1) turned up and that was just awesome, had been so looking forward to meeting her, so spent a little time with her, then she left to go home to change, and Hilda and Nina turned up, that was so good, and we all had presents to give, She had done me a tee shirt with the myspace pic of all little Shannon pics and a superimposed pic over the top, if anyone has been on my myspace, its on my page, well i loved it and took it in the gig with me. Anyway by 7pm it got a bit silly and people were just turning up and standing at the front, no barriers or security!!!??, anyway we all stood in a line across and got in that way, we got barrier, Tomo's side as usual, great Shan view lmao!!!, then after the support...We Are The Physics, really good, O Fortuna came on, that always makes me feel amazing cos I know they are about to come on. They were so amazing, and as Shan came on I saw he had his kilt on and he took his jacket off as soon as he sat down and NO SHIRT!!!!! ...not the longest set they have ever done but amazing anyway...oh yes forgot to say, while we were waiting for the guys to come on, the security were going along the line and putting red wristbands on the people at the front, and we found out it was for a meet and greet!!!
Well after the gig, in which Jared soaked us again and I looked so attractive all wet and soggy lol, we piled into the signing room, and queued up, anyway Hilda gave Shannon the birthday book that she had done with all messages and stuff from us, and he was blown away, he said he didnt know there was so many pics about of him, and Hil told him that he had more messages in his book than Jared had got for his, I bet that pissed J off lol. Anyway I got to him, and I just go to pieces, can chat to J and Tomo no prob but its like I lose the power of speech with Shan grrr, anyway I gave him the tee to sign and he thought it was awesome, then he saw my tattoo and smiled and said 'S' ?, and I said yes its for my daughter Sam, and he stopped smiling, so I waited a second or 2 and then said, well its for you too, and his smile came back, he is so the most awesome guy in the world!!! (ok fangirl moment over) then Tomo tried to sign the tee so i had to take it off him quick cos it was just for Shan to sign and gave him my glyphs wristband instead lol, then i went to Jared and he saw Matt's sig on it and said old school?, and I said no I went to see AVA 4 weeks ago, just to see Matt and he said 'that was really good of you' ?? anyweay I said he looked really well, but I wished he was here and he looked at me and smiled and said 'he made his bed' and then started chatting about my tattoo, and he thought it was awesome, think we could have chatted for ages but while J was in mid convo, the sec guy made me leave lol, J had a look on his face like ' oh ok then, but i was talking!!!' he was in good form.
Well we got outside and went round the back on the other side and eventually the guys came out and Shan was out ages, then went in the bus then J came out and Shannon got off the bus and went round with him, then they came over to our side and was chatting then Tomo came over, then Sam was taking pics and Shan walked away, and must have noticed she didnt get the pic so came back in front of her and wiggled his finger thru the bars and smiled, so she got her pic.
Anyway we said goodbye to everyone, and drove to the nearest services and slept in the car!! woke at 7am and drove the 4 hours home, went to bed at 4pm and woke at 11pm to start all over again..........London is next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just thought I would post a short journal to say a huge thank you for all my friends on here for all the love and support you have given me this last 6 months.
It was devastating when I lost my job and the couple of jobs I had after that left me so depressed but all the support and awesome stuff some of you said to me just really kept me going, and you never lost faith in me, and I will always be eternally grateful, there are some I would like to thank especially, but I don't want to start naming names, you know who you are, you really boosted my confidence when I felt like I wanted to give up, so I never did, and now I've turned a corner, I love my new job, just done a month today and its so good, so thanks again guys, you are the best friends I have, and also thanks for what you did to help Sam, I know she had bad times and you looked out for her, I love you all loads.

And for Sam, thank you darling girl for putting up with me when I was so bad, it cant have been easy living with me, but I guess I have made up for it this year with all your gigs. I love you more than anything in the world (even much more than Shan!"!!!! lol)
